JABALPUR CHEST & ALLERGY CENTRE is founded by Dr. Rishikant Aharwal. He is an Interventional Pulmonologist with a special interest in MDR-TB, lung cancer, COPD, and sleep-related disorders. He did his MBBS, DTCD from MGM Medical College & M.Y Hospital, Indore. After that, he did DNB (Respiratory Medicine, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine) from the National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease, New Delhi. Which is the Apex Institute for TB and Respiratory Diseases in India. He is a Fellow of DAA (Asthma & allergy) From CMC Vellore in collaboration with the University of Colorado, Denver, USA. He is also a Fellow of Molecular Immunotherapy from NATIONAL ALLERGY CENTER NEW DELHI.) He received extensive training in managing all TB cases, including drug-resistant tuberculosis, at the National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease & Worked as Nodal In-charge of DRTB at District Hospital Jabalpur for 1 year & a member of ECHO Clinic India in collaboration with WHO for Difficult to treat MDR-TB cases.
In Interventional pulmonology, He has experience of performing more than 300 diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy procedures, including EBUS and more than 35 cryo-procedure (including cryotherapy cryo-TBLB and cryo-recanalization). He also worked in Lung Cancer Clinic with more than 3-year of experience in managing chemotherapy and molecular therapy; he was also a part of ALLERGY CLINIC and assisted and conducted a sleep study (PSG TYPE 1) at NITRD New Delhi. Presently he started managing all Allergy related disorders & also giving Molecular Immunotherapy, both Sublingual & Sub Cutaneous routes. As a part of an academic curriculum, he is also a member of different societies at the National & International Levels.
